Davis Family Time

I took these photo's in front of an old train that is across from Grandma Davis' house and I love the way the photo's turned out!
Then we all went across from the train to an old building and took some more cool photo's:)!

The Boys

We went down to South Georgia for our vacation and had so much fun with our family! All the cousins were there and they really enjoy being with each other. We went to the beach, rode 4 wheelers, and went swimming! I had a chance to get them all together for a little photo session and they were all good sports about taking the photo's except for my Ben...he wasn't into the photo shoot:). Poor fellow!

We love our family and can't wait for the next vacation!!!!

Sneak Peek for the Kubach's

What a unique shoot! We had the privilege of taking this family's photos in their backyard...which was so big and beautiful. The Kubach family was ready for whatever we threw at them. We asked them to bring out furniture from their home so we could use them in the photos to get some incomparable shots. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Kubach family for letting us use our imaginations to create lasting family photos full of fun memories!

It took a little bit for the kids to warm up to me. There were plenty of smiles coming my way as soon as I pulled out my famous stash of candy...nothing like candy to make the kids happy. I love the photo of the family in a circle, it represents an eternal ring that should never be broken (in my opinion of course). Kassi will be custom designing their family Christmas card with that shot-watch for it in the next few days on our website  under the "design" tab.  My favorite shot of the evening is the one of Evi, the youngest of the bunch (top right~above). What a beautiful little model and so sweet! When we were done with the shoot Evi showed me around the house...what a cutie! ~Cindy

P.S. to the Kubach's~We have alot more images coming to your family gallery in the next few days...keep checking the gallery for those! ;-)

The Hanson Family

What a crazy fun day this turned out to be!  We had this planned for weeks after the Hanson mother worked with all three of her sons and their families to coordinate schedules and get everybody together for an updated family portrait for her to hang over her mantle before one of them moved to Kansas.  So when the day finally came around, you can imagine my horror when the severe thunderstorms started rolling in.  As I hustled and bustled researching all the local spots that actually have cover, a friend of mine suggested going to the client's home.  When I called and offered this suggestion along with another possible outdoor covered location, she quickly agreed to do the shoot at her home.  If we didn't get it that day, we weren't likely to get it again before her son and his young family left for Kansas.  She had a covered deck we could work with so we said our prayers that it would let up a bit and guess what?!  It did!  It slowed down to a quiet drizzle and while we started on her deck, we were actually able to move out to her beautiful back yard.  The trees and landscaping were gorgeous and seriously, how wonderful is it to have your family portrait taken at your own home and not at some other location that has no signifigant meaning to you and your family?!  As always, with this many people (especially with young ones), it can be difficult to get all eyes at the camera (and open!) ;-) But we managed to get some great shots nonetheless and I hope the image she chooses looks beautiful on the mantle.  Thanks Karen!  It was wonderful getting to know your family.  Your pics are posted to the gallery on the website now.  :-)  P.S.  I think the image below looks magical...;-)

Sneak Preview~Baby Sophia

I was thrilled to spend one evening photographing little Sophia.  She was just five weeks old and absolutley breathtaking. Her mom was excited about dressing this little beauty in PunknPosh gear so we played dress-up with her like two little girls! LOL  She wasn't thrilled about the baskets though.  :-(  Everytime we tried to place her in one, she screamed and cried.  What I found most captivating about this little one was how peaceful she became simply by hearing the sound of her fathers voice.  Many of the shots I took of her were in her Daddys hands because she would instantly calm down by his touch.  Changing tutus, wearing hats and angel wings weren't exactly her idea of a good time.  I only hope it was all worth it for her family to have some images to cherish for years to come of this little angel.  It was so wonderful to be able to share the moments with them that demonstrated the wonderful bond they had already formed.  Another thing I noticed about this little beauty was her deep, rich eye color filled with greens and browns as they are changing and defining themselves. A very rare color to see in such a tiny tot!  I'm anxious to see exactly how they turn out...will they be hazel or will they be brown?  Maybe I'll get lucky enough to shoot her again at 6 months or 1 year and be able to report back! :-)  Anyhow, here are just a handful of some of the adorable images I was able to capture of her.  Will be posting more to the Facebook Page and her full session to the gallery in the next 2 days Rebecca & Keith!  Congratulations on the most beautiful thing to enter your life and thank you for trusting me with such an important moment.

Kelly's family 'sneak peek'

What a wonderful opportunity to have a multi-generational photo session (4 GENERATIONS)! We had such a great time with Kelly's family. It was perfect timing to be able to get these families from Kansas, Texas and Kentucky all together for such a fun shoot. It was a terrific experience. From speaking with Kelly over the internet to actually meeting her, we felt like we knew her already and that she was a friend (Thanks Katie!). How exciting it was to get to meet her little ones, her sister and her little ones and her parents and grandparents (coming up on their 60th anniversary~WOW)! What a warm and joyful family! It was such a pleasure shooting them.

This is one of my personal favorites from our photo session. (Cindy) Reagan is such a beauty and is the perfect blend of her mother and father. She was a little hesitant at first, but I was taken away by her eyes and her smile when she finally greeted me with them :-)

I absolutely love it when the fathers and sons play together during a session. (Cindy) It brings a comfort element that lets everyone relax and be themselves. These two were adorable together. Little Man was so adorably handsome and sweet. :-)

Kelly's sister's family was precious. Their littlest bit, June, was only 5 weeks old and already gorgeous. (Kassi) Her big brother was hilarious as he started out the session shy and clingy and ended it with the biggest personality of them all (he had a thing for Starburst, what can we say?!). Funny little guy. :-)

The Great Grandparents were so inspiring. Can you imagine coming up on 60 years of marriage? Incredible!

I know, I like to use little sayings in some of my photos...but this one felt more appropriate with this shoot than any other so far. (Kassi)

Kelly & Family...we have SO many more images coming for you on the 'client proofing' portion of our website. They should be fully loaded for you in the next 2 days! Thank you so much for trusting us with such a precious moment in time for your sweet and beautiful family!
